Bangkok Thai Buys Riverview Thai in Spokane!

I have it from a good source that Bangkok Thai in Spokane is not only opening up a new restaurant in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho - but they have also just purchased Riverview Thai in Spokane, Wa.

Riverview Thai has been located in the old Bayou Brewery just outside of downtown Spokane for the past few years. Before that they were located in the Flour Mill, just outside of Riverfront Park.

Bangkok Thai
will close down the Riverview Thai location to do a few days of remodeling starting on September 30th. I just hope they keep the daily lunch buffet going on.

If all goes well maybe they will also expand a patio as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Go support your local Thai Restaurant!!

Sri Prasert Thai Bar & Grille

Has anyone been to Sri Prasert Thai Bar & Grille? Their site is: http://www.mamasthaiwaylounge.com/

From their site they say:

Looking for a great place to enjoy authentic Thai food, relax, and party? Sri Prasert Thai Bar & Grille, also known as The Thaiway Lounge features the best Thai food, specialty cocktails, and karaoke in town. Our menu has pictures of each item so you know exactly what you're getting. From our signature stuffed chicken wings, found nowhere else in the northwest to great finger food appetizers to enjoy along with your cocktails, we've got it all. If you’re looking for a strong drink, try Mama Num Num! This drink is unique and numbing, which is where Mama gets her nickname. When you taste it, expect something fruity. Our outdoor patio and beer garden with relaxing water fountain and rose garden and Mama's singing in English or Thai are what set us apart from the rest.

Thai on 1st Needs Lunch Combos!!

Okay, there is not Thai in downtown Spokane except for Thai on 1st. Their food is pretty darn good, but you can't just run in and have an affordable lunch combo to go. Every other Thai place I have been to has some sort of combo option available at lunchtime.

Usually you can get rice, Phad Thai and a selection of Curries or other specialties for $6 to $8. If they would offer that I'd be there almost every day.

If you feel the same, leave a comment below and I'll take this as a petition to the owner and see if we can convince them to offer lunch combos! Tell your friends!

Spokane Bangkok Thai

You've gotta try Bangkok Thai in Spokane. The food is great and seriously the best Thai food I've had in Spokane so far. I mostly eat their Phad Thai and Green Curry, but everything I have tried is very tasty. Let me know what you think! Oh yeah, check out their site at http://www.spokanebangkokthai.com/ - Hopefully it will be updated soon!
